About the Tour

Brittany and Normandy are two of the most beautiful and authentic regions of France. During the tour we will photograph spectacular white and pink cliffs, stunningly beautiful seacoast, charming towns and villages, and, of course, lighthouses…a lot of lighthouses! To say nothing of the amazing French cuisine, great wines and local calvados. The north of France is one of my favorite places in the world. It is with great pleasure that I will show you the most beautiful locations including the secret ones.

Itinerary

Day 1 Day 1

We meet at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris (please plan your arrival in the morning before 12:00). Then we head to Etretat for sunset photography and a welcome dinner.

Day 2 Day 2

We have morning photography session at the white cliffs of Etretat. After sunrise we take a walk in the beautiful gardens included in the list of the 10 best gardens in the world. Take your camera with you, the garden is very photogenic. In the second part of the day we move to Mont St. Michel, the dream of many photographers.

Day 3 Day 3

Sunrise photographing is a step away from Mont Saint Michel. Then we have lunch at the legendary restaurant on the island itself, where they cook the best omelette in France according to the recipes of the 19th century. For sunset we have a secret spot near Mont Saint Michel.

Day 4 Day 4

We have sunrise photoshoot again at Mont Saint Michel (another spot). After breakfast we check out from the hotel and head to the beautiful city of Cancale, where we visit oyster farm and have a tasting of oysters and other seafood. Then we move to Dinan and spend sunset time and blue hour photographing cozy medieval streets.

Day 5 Day 5

We photograph Dinan again at sunrise. Then we move to the western part of Brittany and - here it is - our first lighthouse!

Day 6 Day 6

We spend morning photographing one more lighthouse. Then the whole day we will be exploring a picturesque seacoast and, if we are lucky, spot surfers catching magnificent waves. At sunset we photograph an old fort on the cliff.

Day 7 Day 7

Day 7 is again completely devoted to lighthouses. Early in the morning we take a ferry and sail to a unique island, where we will photograph 5 different lighthouses in one day! The atmosphere of the island is truly unforgettable! In the evening we sail back to the continent.

Day 8 Day 8

In the morning we photograph one of the most beautiful villages in France. Then we have breakfast on the steps of the ancient church. In the afternoon we head to Crozon to photograph a very picturesque seacoast.

Day 9 Day 9

A new lighthouse again at sunrise! After breakfast we head back and in the evening photograph stunning pink rocks and, of course, one more lighthouse.

Day 10 Day 10

We spend our last photography session at pink rocks, after breakfast we depart for the Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris (approximate arrival time is 17. 00). Time to say goodbye to each other and go home to process hundreds and hundreds of photos from the trip

Oleg Rest

Oleg Rest

My name is Oleg Rest, I am a professional landscape photographer and traveler. I was born in Kazakhstan, the land of steps and severe climate. Since early childhood I was dreaming of traveling. I first took camera in my hands at 6, when my parents rented a Zenit film camera during our holidays on the Black Sea coast. I enthusiastically took pictures of my parents, later with my father we developed films in our bathroom and dried them on a rope. Now I shoot with a modern camera Canon R5, but nature and photography still inspire me the most. I have been to such amazing places as Patagonia, Norway, Iceland, Tuscany, Namibia, Slovenia, China, Moravia, the Alps and the Lofotens, Myanmar, Czech Switzerland and I wish to share my impressions and delight with you! Life is full of beauty. This is my motto. I am not a fan of sophisticated and time-consuming processing of photos. The best shot for me is the one that needs minimal processing. My main principles in photography are: Interesting composition Beautiful light Minimum of processing Nowadays it is hard to find a location where no photographer has ever been, that is why even in popular places I try to find an unusual foreground which makes any shot look in a new light. I have won several landscape photography competitions. My photos are published by Canon Czech Republic, Canon Ukraine. I am an ambassador of Lucroit filter manufacturer (Spain), H&Y (Hong Kong), software company Skylum (Luminar, Aurora HDR software) and backpack manufacturer f-stop (USA).
