Itinerary

Day 1 Day 1

We'll meet you at Bilbao Airport around 1:00-2:00 PM. We recommend arriving no late than 2:00 PM or the day before. We’ll drive together to our cozy hotel and settle in before the real work begins - that same evening we head out for our first shoot at a location that fans of Game of Thrones will recognise immediately. A strong start to the week!

Day 2 Day 2

At sunrise today we photograph a famous beach forest - a genuinely unusual landscape that rewards patience and a good eye for composition. If the famous Spanish coastal fogs roll in, consider yourself lucky: they transform everything. After returning to the hotel for breakfast, we move on to a new base, where one of the most impressive sunset locations of the whole tour awaits us - striking rock formations rising from the water, wildflowers in the foreground, and much, much more.

Day 3 Day 3

At sunrise today we photograph dramatic flysch formations - layered rock strata folded by the sea into shapes that look almost hand-carved. After breakfast we move on to our next hotel, and in the evening an easy 20-minute walk (with plenty to photograph along the way) brings us to our main goal: a famous sea arch with an endlessly varied foreground of rock, water and light. Have your wide-angle lenses and filters ready. This place is beautiful in any weather - whether under an epic sunset glow or a dark, dramatic sky.

Day 4 Day 4

At sunrise today we photograph a rugged stretch of coastline where the sea has carved the rock into a maze of pinnacles and channels - a perfect place to work with long exposures and shifting light. After breakfast we drive to Asturias, where we will spend the remaining days of the tour. Sunset takes us to Playa del Silencio, one of the most beautiful beaches in northern Spain, famous for its textures - smooth, sculpted stones and layered cliffs that beg to be photographed up close. Have your wide-angle lenses and filters ready, and there is one more treat in store: a shoot inside a "secret" cave that only a few photographers know about.

Day 5 Day 5

At sunrise today we photograph the famous arches of Playa de las Catedrales - be sure to bring rubber boots or waterproof shoe covers, as the best compositions are found right at the water's edge. In the afternoon we take a relaxed stroll through the charming fishing village of Cudillero, with its colourful houses stacked up the hillside. And in the evening we shoot yet another fantastic beach, where sea stacks rise straight out of the surf.

Day 6 Day 6

At sunrise today we photograph another iconic beach - Playa de Gueirúa, where a row of jagged sea stacks marches out into the Bay of Biscay and the waves wrap around them in long, silky streaks. In the afternoon we hold a post-processing session: I will show you my complete workflow from RAW to finished image, and then we will review and discuss your photographs from the tour so far. In the evening we head to a famous beach that I jokingly call "the Mask of Sauron" - once you see its central rock against the sunset sky, you will understand why. The scene changes with every shift of tide and light, so we will stay well into twilight. Bring your filters and a sturdy tripod.

Day 7 Day 7

This is our last day in hospitable Spain. After a final sunrise shoot and breakfast we set off back to Bilbao. The drive takes around three hours, so please plan your departure flight for after 5:30–6:00 pm, or for the following day

Oleg Rest

Oleg Rest

My name is Oleg Rest, I am a professional landscape photographer and traveler. I was born in Kazakhstan, the land of steps and severe climate. Since early childhood I was dreaming of traveling. I first took camera in my hands at 6, when my parents rented a Zenit film camera during our holidays on the Black Sea coast. I enthusiastically took pictures of my parents, later with my father we developed films in our bathroom and dried them on a rope. Now I shoot with a modern camera Canon R5, but nature and photography still inspire me the most. I have been to such amazing places as Patagonia, Norway, Iceland, Tuscany, Namibia, Slovenia, China, Moravia, the Alps and the Lofotens, Myanmar, Czech Switzerland and I wish to share my impressions and delight with you! Life is full of beauty. This is my motto. I am not a fan of sophisticated and time-consuming processing of photos. The best shot for me is the one that needs minimal processing. My main principles in photography are: Interesting composition Beautiful light Minimum of processing Nowadays it is hard to find a location where no photographer has ever been, that is why even in popular places I try to find an unusual foreground which makes any shot look in a new light. I have won several landscape photography competitions. My photos are published by Canon Czech Republic, Canon Ukraine. I am an ambassador of Lucroit filter manufacturer (Spain), H&Y (Hong Kong), software company Skylum (Luminar, Aurora HDR software) and backpack manufacturer f-stop (USA).
