Patagonia is a stunningly beautiful region at the very bottom of South America, shared by Chile and Argentina. If you are in love with dramatic mountain landscapes, Patagonia is a must for you: ice-crowned massifs with sharp peaks, clear lakes, picturesque waterfalls and azure glaciers. Patagonia is a home for guanacos, condors, armadillos and even pumas, which we hope to meet in Torres del Paine National Park. I kindly invite you to join this incredible journey.
Day 1
We pick you up at Punta Arenas (Chile) airport about 12:00 (I recommend you flight Santiago-Punta Arenas) and head to Torres del Paine National Park (4-4.5 hour drive). After check-in at hotel, we go for sunset shooting near camp at Pehoe lake.
I strongly recommend you to arrive one/two days before the start of the tour and stay at a hotel in Snatiago or Punta Arenas for one/two nights to have rest after a long fligh (list of the recommended hotels will be sent to you after booking of the tour).
Day 2-3
We will photograph famous Pehoe lake and dramatic horn-like Los Cuernos peaks, have an unforgettable boat trip on Lago Grey to reach amazing azur Gray glacier, visit Nordeskjold lake, Laguna Azul and Amarga (we have a chance to see beautiful flamingos), Salto Grande waterfall and - with luck - meet guanacos, armadillos and pumas.
Day 4
This day we have one of the most beautiful, but hardest hike in our tour. We will go to see an epic Base Torres Del Paine mountain. Our hike takes 12 km (about 4 hours) one way with elevation 900m. An alternative option is to search for a puma and easy hike to the Nordenskjold lake with our second guide.
Day 5
Our sunrise location is panoramic view from Explora hotel. After breakfast we will drive to our next destination in Argentina – El Chalten (6-7 hour drive).
After check-in we will have a short hike to shoot a beautiful panoramic view of a famous Fitz Roy mountain. We will have dinner at a cozy local restaurant and then come back to the hotel.
Day 6
After breakfast we drop off at the hotel some unnecessary luggage (like laptops, extra clothes) and start out for a hike to a camp site, where we will spend 3 nights. After settling in a camp (3 hours of hiking from El Chalten)we head to photograph fantastic place - a mountain waterfall with a view on Fitz Roy.
Day 7-8
After morning shooting in Laguna we take a hike to our next camp site where we’ll spend two nights. We will shoot magnificent Cerro Torre and Fitzroy mountains and explore the area near this beautiful monuments of nature.
Day 9
After sunrise shooting close to the campsite we hike back to El Chalten (about 4 hours). We check-in and have dinner in a traditional restaurant.
Day 10
On this day we are going to visit a famous glacier Perito Moreno, a Patagonian wonder. We will shoot a magnificent ice tongue of the glacier, surrounded by colourful autumn forest. We will have a boat trip, which allows to photograph the glacier at a closer distance. A telephoto lense is strongly recommended.
After evening shooting we come back to El Calafate and have a post-processing session in the afternoon.
Dinner in a traditional Argentinian restaurant. We will taste well-known cordero patagonico (local lamb) accompanied with Argentinean wine for dinner.
Day 11
After breakfast we will go to Punta Arenas airport (7-8 hours drive). We will arrive to Punta Arenas in the late afternoon, so I strongly recommend you to have night flight or spend a night in Punta Arenas and flight back home next day.
P.S. During our photography tour we might adjust our plan due to weather conditions.

Oleg Rest
I am a professional landscape photographer and traveler. I was born in Kazakhstan, the land of steps and severe climate. Since early childhood I was dreaming of traveling. I first took camera in my hands at 6, when my parents rented a Zenit film camera during our holidays on the Black Sea coast. I enthusiastically took pictures of my parents, later with my father we developed films in our bathroom and dried them on a rope. Now I shoot with a modern camera Canon 5D Mark IV, but nature and photography still inspire me the most. I have been to such amazing places as Patagonia, Norway, Iceland, Tuscany, Russia, Slovenia, China, Moravia, the Alps and the Lofotens, Myanmar, Czech Switzerland and I wish to share my impressions and delight with you! Life is full of beauty. This is my motto. I am not a fan of sophisticated and time-consuming processing of photos. The best shot for me is the one that needs minimal processing. My main principles in photography are:
Interesting composition
Beautiful light
Minimum of processing
Nowadays it is hard to find a location where no photographer has ever been, that is why even in popular places I try to find an unusual foreground which makes any shot look in a new light. I have won several landscape photography competitions. My photos are published by Canon Russia, Canon Czech Republic, Canon Ukraine. I am an ambassador of Lucroit filter manufacturer (Spain), software company Skylum (Luminar, Aurora HDR software) and backpack manufacturer Nya-Evo.
